THE SEATRAC IS A DEVICE WHICH ENABLES PEOPLE TO ACCESS THE SEA IF THEY HAVE MOBILITY PROBLEMS, BY SIMPLY ROLLING OR WALKING DOWN THE WOODEN RAMP TO THE SEATRAC. ONE THEN TRANSFERS ONTO THE SEAT AND WITH THE PUSH OF A BUTTON IT WILL THEN SLOWLY MOVE YOU ON A TRACKING DEVICE INTO THE SEA AND VISA VERSA WHEN YOU WANT TO COME OUT.

UNFORTUNATELY, THE SEATRAC CAN ONLY BE USED SUBJECT TO GOOD WEATHER CONDITIONS
IN THE MONTHS BESIDES JUNE, JULY, AUGUST AND SEPTEMBER THE SEATRAC MAY BE REMOVED IF THE SEA IS ROUGH.

PLEASE NOTE THAT 2011 WAS THE FIRST SEASON IT WAS USED AND ANY TEETHING PROBLEMS HAVE/WILL BE RESOLVED.

Leave your chair behind and take a dip

"First time in the sea since becoming a wheelchair user  15 years ago - the seatrac at Polis is so easy to use - brilliant! "
Bob from the UK

"After a few years of not being able to access the sea, we loved being able to float in the sea - it was magical. We can't wait to come back and try it some more!”
Rob from Holland

"I used the seatrac in Polis last September. Despite i am a wheelchair user it was very easy to get in to the sea for a swip dip. It was really great!!"

Angela from the UK

"To my pleasure I used this summer the seatrac in Polis  and it was really great and very easy to go into the sea. I have never seen something like that.  It was my first possibility to swim in the Mediterranean sea!    Me and my brother enjoyed it very much! It is a great supplement for disabled people spending their holidays at C&A apartments."
Jan Willem and Richard Bosch from Holland

"The Seatrac gave me, as a wheelchair user, the wonderful experience of access and swimming in the sea again - thank you Polis - it was a real gift."
Michelle from the UK

"What delight to find "the ramp" (a seatrac) going all the way into the sea, and all of a sudden our "disabled" freinds were no-longer  "deprived" from sea and able to enjoy a swim. One more barrier fallen for wheelchair users!
Thank you Chris.

"PEOPLE with mobility problems will soon be able to safely and easily enter the water at the public beach of the Municipality of Polis Chrysochous.

In a unique programme, the Cyprus Tourism Organisation (CTO) in cooperation with the department of accessible beaches of the Works Ministry, the Cyprus Confederation of Organisations of Disabled Persons, the University of Patras and the Polis Municipality, established the first standalone system which will provide access to the sea for people with disabilities."
